c July 1961: HM Stationery Office Cricket Club openers

Dave Martin writes:  This photo was taken in around July 1961 at the Civil Service Sports Ground, Eltham. It shows Eddie Truscott (left) and Alec Gravatt (right), the regular opening batsmen for what was HM Stationery Office Cricket Club. Eddie and wife Kath Truscott came to Norwich. Eddie became an EO in Supplies Division, Kath worked as a Messenger. Eddie died a year or two ago, Kath I believe still lives in Norwich. Alec Gravatt worked at Accounts Division at Wembley and Cornwall House (A4d section). He remained in London when the main office dispersed to Norwich and was latterly based in Whitehall.
