Nov 2005: Belfast old haunts

Terry McCrum and Reg Walker took advantage of the bargain flights from Norwich to Belfast to visit old haunts, including Miss Moran's tobacconists — outside which are pictured Leo Ginnetty, late of Stationery Office Dublin, Fionuala Walsh and Fiona Gunning, currently Banner Belfast, and Terry McCrum, Banner/O2O Norwich. The middle picture depicts John Straghan, late of Print Belfast, now NI Courts Service, looking pleadingly at Pat Catney (then owner of the relocated Kitchen Bar) in the hope of a fresh Guinness, and below, Peter McAuley, late of Publications Belfast, currently DSS(NI) looking menacingly at same P Catney but we all know that butter wouldn't melt. The shy and retiring Dan Lavery (now OIC Belfast/Edinburgh for tSO) and Roy Dubois were lucky in that the film had run out before they arrived, and Brian Watt and Walter Roberts were unable to make it on the day.
