October 1974: Graphic Design, Atlantic House

The Graphic Design Studio on E Floor Atlantic House with designers Philip Marriage, Christabel Hardacre, and Dee Smallridge with ‘Bobbie’ Westaway, the studio’s bubbly clerical assistant. The view to the north was not particularly inspiring across the rooftops or down to Charterhouse Street and Clifford’s the hairdresser, recently transferred to 2 Fetter Lane. Looks like a cake shop on the other side of the steps down to Saffron Hill.
Alan Pawsey adds: Excellent! Janice and I believe the other shop used to be called "Grobs" or something similar and it was a Café/Sandwich Shop.
Reg Walker adds: Grobs it was — a minute away from Harts, the butchers — and I have a hazy memory of a 16/- haircut (obscenely expensive!) at said hairdresser. Saffron Hill — home of an photographer who used to airbrush 'artistic models' for a magazine I seem to remember as Kamera — Raymond, was it? Not that I could afford the 1/6d in those days . . .
Robert Stutely adds: My hazy memory suggests that the photographer was Harrison Marks.
